About Tidy Quid
Tidy Quid is a small, independent UK site with one aim: to make everyday money decisions less stressful.
Most money advice online is written for people with plenty to spare. Our guides are for people who are watching every pound: first budgets, paying down credit cards, building a first £500 of savings, and getting the bills under control.
How we write our guides
- We check UK-specific facts against official sources such as GOV.UK, the FSCS, Ofgem, Ofcom and MoneyHelper, and link to them.
- We do not invent statistics. Where we use example figures, we say they are illustrative.
- We review guides regularly, because benefits, tax rules and tariffs change.
- We are not financial advisers, and nothing on this site is personal financial advice.
How the site is funded
Tidy Quid is free to read. It is supported by our sister shop, Sage & Paper, which sells low-cost budgeting spreadsheets and printables, and by affiliate links, which may earn us a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never decide what we recommend. Read our full privacy and affiliate disclosure.
